Opals are said to be stones of hope that bring the virtues of innocence and purity. Nearly all Opals come from Australia, others can be found in Mexico, Brazil, USA and Africa.

Are Opals Unlucky?  Stories of Opals bringing bad luck date back centuries when they were linked to witch craft and more recently because they are fragile and are known to break. They have struggled to lose the label, but I believe you make your own luck, take care of your opal and there is no stone like it!
